Audi has recalled 17,797 Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback SUVs from model years 2022 through 2024 because their headlights may not comply with U.S. law.
Audi says the cars “were equipped with headlight control module software intended for the EU market.” But the problem is relatively minor. “There is no loss of low beam, high beam, turn signal, or hazard functionality,” the company says.
Dealers will update the cars with U.S.-compliant software to fix the problem. By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.
