Lexus will recall about 11,000 NX SUVs from model years 2024 and 2025 and RX SUVs from model year 2024 because their head restraints aren’t properly secured.
The company explains that the headrests “may be removable without pressing the release button,” which prevents them from complying with federal safety rules.
Dealers will replace both front seat headrests with new models with working release buttons.
